Night Class: Wednesday, May 11 • 5-9pm
Prerequisite: Torch skills
In this workshop you will be shown how to make a cuff using the GRS forming tool. These cuffs can be made in 30 minutes, and this method is a production time saver!
We'll cover the forming process, surface embellishments, and troubleshooting techniques—including an easy fix for making cuffs wider than the GRS forming capacity.
Once you have learned the proper techniques for using this tool, it will be available for your use during Open Studio Time. NOTE: you will need to reserve it for OST, as the studio only has one tool.
Each participant should be able to complete one cuff during the workshop. Open Studio Time will be available afterwards for those wishing to make others. The current OST rate applies.

- You can go up to 1.75” wide with this technique.
Everything else is available in the Studio, but you can bring your metalsmithing toolbox with your favorite hand tools and finishing tools.
