Prerequisite: Lapidary 1 or equivalent
Students will learn how to design around the stone using freeform concave shapes to accentuate patterns found in the stone. We will learn what shapes work and don't with the machines available and how to properly and best use the machines for those shapes.Agates, jaspers, and rhyolites are recommended, and solid colors are advised to
be avoided. Slabs can be brought in by students, or purchased from the instructor as an alternative.
MATERIALS & TOOLSPlease bring the following:
● Even-thickness lapidary slabs with interesting patterns. Agates, jaspers or rhyolites are recommended.
