Denver Jewelry Studio offers affordable Open Studio Time (OST) to anyone who has successfully completed Metalsmithing 1 (or equivalent experience) and is able to work independently. Proper safety habits in the studio, knowledge and use of our machinery and acetylene torches is a must. Studio Attire is mandatory.
Open Studio is the perfect opportunity for you to work on projects and practice what you have learned in various workshops. You have full access to a jeweler's bench, soldering station, flexshaft, and the buffers. You are required to bring your own solders, texture plates, and anyother materials needed to work on your projects.

By purchasing a membership, you agree to the following:
Memberships may be purchased at any time, however the start date is the first of every month and ends on the last day of the month. Memberships may not be prorated, and there are no partial memberships. Unused hours cannot be carried forward and no refunds will be issued.
Studio time in excess of 20 hours may be assessed an additional $3/hr torch fuel surcharge, billed at month's end.
Use of Lapidary equipment is an additional $6/hr, billed at month's end
Studio time is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY; members must call ahead to reserve time. Workshops take precedence. In case of inclement weather, we reserve the right to close early/open late.

Open Studio Hours
As a member, you are responsible for working independently and only on equipment on which you have been properly trained. We expect you to wear proper attire and adhere to all safety rules while working in our studio.
You are responsible for bringing your own materials including but not limited to: sheet metal, wire, solder, texture plates, flexshaft attachments to work on your projects.
Be considerate: return tools to their proper places, wipe down your bench and soldering station, dispose of trash, etc.
