In this two day workshop we will explore ways of drawing with mild steel wire by making a 3 dimensional sculpture(s) of a bird in motion . No experience of working with wire or metal required . I will go stage by stage , using simple shaping and cold joining techniques , using the same kinds of processes I use in my own pieces . We will explore ways of creating form and pattern and each of you will come out of the class with at least one (hopefully) free standing bird sculpture.
